Put your photo on Canvas
Ordering a canvas is simple: send us your image in any format - traditional paper photographs, digital, slides or negatives - and we will print it onto canvas. You can send your digital files to us via email or upload them online.
We will digitally enhance your photo for free if desired, or if there is anything in particular that you would like modified, let us know and we will tell you if it is possible. If the image requires extensive alteration or restoration we will email you a proof for approval and quote you a price before we undertake the work.
Order your photo to canvas print online
We only use the highest grade 350 gram water resistant canvas wrapped around chunky 38 mm gallery stretcher bar frames to produce a deep edged professional finish.
The stretcher bars are designed to keep the canvas away from the frame – avoiding the common problem of the frame outline showing through the canvas.
Corner wedges are inserted into the frame and adjusted until the canvas has the correct level of tension. The wedges also allow for further adjustment of the canvas over time.
Canvases are protected by UV protected coatings (semi-matt); not only does this protect the prints from physical damage, but it prolongs the life of the inks to over 75 years. We use the latest pigment printing technologies and the most up-to-date image enlargement software to ensure that each print achieves its optimum quality and print resolution. There’s no need to worry about colour either: all Imagecity printers and monitors are colour calibrated to ensure that accurate colour representation of your image is achieved. Please note however, that there are often noticeable differences between the colours displayed between monitors. If you require very accurate colour representation we recommend colour calibrating your monitor using the colorvision spyder
Fixing Colour Cast
Some photos may have a strong colour cast due to artificial lighting or due aging of the photograph – this colour cast can be removed to improve the photo.
Fixing Photograph Exposure
The exposure levels of each of your photographs can be adjusted by our photographic and graphic design team if the original images are too dark or too bright.
Removing Unwanted Particulars
Unwanted particulars can be removed from images. This is useful for portraits were unwanted spots or blemishes can be removed (we can airbrush if asked!).
Straightening a Crooked Horizon
Crooked horizons can be straightened. This can be an especially useful enhancement for panoramic and landscape photography
